Step 1- Preparation for your Meeting
Once you have made your appointment we ask you to bring a series of documents to the first meeting. These documents will include:
- Current Superannuation Statements
- Insurance Policy Information
- Bank/ Investment Statements
- Loan Statements
- Payslips or last year’s tax return
The above documents will enable us to gain a snapshot of your financial position today. These documents enable us to work out our starting point.
Step 2 – 1st Appointment
The 1st appointment is an obligation free meeting. The essential goal of the first appointment is for you to get to know your Definitive Wealth Planner and for your Definitive Wealth Planner to get to know you. We will introduce you to the services we provide. We will also begin to start to establish your goals and objectives. This will be a ‘big picture ‘discussion.
Step 3 – 2nd Appointment
The 2nd appointment is effectively a continuation of the first. At the 1st appointment we discussed your ‘big picture’ objectives your ultimate financial goals. The objective of this appointment is to discuss what we have to start doing immediately to ensure we achieve your ultimate financial goals. Your planner will also look to establish what your investment experiences have been like and understand you tolerance to risk. It is here your planner will be able to establish whether you will be able to benefit from our advice. This is where you will give your planner permission to put together you Definitive Wealth Financial Plan.
At Definitive Wealth we feel it is far too important to try and combine your 1st and 2nd appointment.
Step 4 – Plan Presentation Appointment
Your planner will provide you with your Definitive Wealth Financial Plan. This will also be know as your Statement of Advice (SoA). The SoA will outline their recommendation your planner has made to you and how they have come up with the recommendation. The SoA will show you the process that we will need to go through to achieve your goal and objective.
Step 5 – Implementation
This is usually conducted at our plan presentation meeting. Some clients will ask for some time to go over and digest their financial plan and that is fine with us. The implantation process can take up to 3 months. The implementation can be held up waiting for underwriting decision or super to rollover. It is the goal of your planner to make this process as seamless as possible.
Step 6 – Product Presentation Appointment
At this appointment your planner will go over all Investment, Superannuation or Insurance documents that will now be established. This is where we will get the opportunity to ensure all documents are in the correct name and placement. This also acts a quality assurance appointment.
The most important task we will do at this appointment is commit to your reoccurring review appointment. This is the Definitive Wealth difference! Depending on the level of service you require these appointments will be pre-booked on a 13, 26 or 52 week continually reoccurring basis. This reoccurring appointment will remove the frustration of not knowing when your next appointment is. This will also remove the risk of you paying for a an ongoing service that is not being provided.
Step 7 – Ongoing Review
Numerous events will occur that will result in us have to make changes to your financial plan. It is at these appointment we will sit down together to go over your plan and make any necessary adjustments that are require to keep you in track.
Regular reviews also give us an opportunity to celebrate our wins as we obtain our goals.
